This course focuses on giving learners more exposure to the use of language for communicative purposes and equip them with next-level skills (ref. Bloom's taxonomy) and practice in terms of complexity and cognitive engagement. This course also includes an inferential level of comprehension (listening and reading) that involves analysis and application of the language skills and decision-making skills while speaking/writing with an awareness for social and personality-based variations in communication. This course emphasizes guided writing through adequate tasks with pre and post-context building. The focus is on the stimulation and application of critical thinking in addition to schematic thinking for communication in real-life situations.
